Ridgefield Main Street Sidewalk Closures To Begin Soon

Sidewalk closures will begin shortly on Main Street in Ridgefield, part of the "Main Street Project" civic improvements.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Construction work is ramping up along Prospect and Main Streets, part of a project to improve the flow of traffic.

Work began last week to revamp the entrance to the CVS parking lot. Sidewalks are next on the list.

"To ensure the safety of pedestrians walking near the ongoing work, sidewalk closures will begin shortly," town officials said in a statement released Monday.

Crews are adding signage that will guide pedestrians along the proposed detour and indicate any other detours that might affect drivers entering and exiting the CVS parking lot.

The work currently underway by Frontier Communications near Governor Street is now scheduled to be completed before the end of this week.
