Ridgefield Man, 29, Dies from Suspected Opioid Overdose: Report

The victim was discovered unresponsive in a multifamily house in Torrington on Thursday evening.

TORRINGTON, CT — A 29-year-old man from Ridgefield died Thursday evening in Torrington of a suspected opioid overdose, according to police.

The victim, David Anderson, was found unresponsive in a multifamily house at 202 South Main St. after his roommate phoned emergency personnel, reports the Waterbury Republican-American. The address houses a sober home operated by Key Recovery Homes, according to the publication.

Anderson was found just after 5 p.m., and police found a powdered narcotic and drug paraphernalia in the room, reports the Torrington Register Citizen. The case remains under investigation but there does not appear to be any evidence of foul play, according to police.
