Ridgefield Man Charged with DUI: Police

The man had allegedly smoked a vape pen with cannabis oil shortly before being pulled over.

RIDGEFIELD, CT --- A Ridgefield man was charged with driving under the influence in New Canaan on Tuesday, May 2.

Glenn Rabinowitz, 27, of Gilbert Street in Ridgefield, was pulled over on Smith Ridge Road in New Canaan when an officer noticed he was following the car in front of him too closely.

According to police, Rabinowitz appeared to be impaired from drugs. Police say that Rabinowitz admitted to the officer of having smoked a vape pen with cannabis oil five minutes earlier. The officer gave Rabinowitz a sobriety test, which he failed.

Rabinowitz was released after posting $250 bond. He is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court on May 16.
