Ridgefield 'Penguin Plunge' To Benefit Special Olympics
Ridgefield is hosting its first Penguin Plunge, inviting residents to jump into the cold waters of Great Pond to support Special Olympics.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield is hosting its first-ever Penguin Plunge this month, inviting residents to jump into the cold waters of Great Pond to support Special Olympics Connecticut.
The Penguin Plunge is Dec. 19., with registration at 11 a.m. and the event at noon at Martin Park Beach, 19 Great Pond Road.
Participants must be at least 8 years old, and are asked to raise a minimum of $25 for Special Olympics.
For those uncomfortable with attending during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a virtual plunge as well.
