Ridgefield Playhouse Partners with Fairfield Country Bank & Books On the Common
Ridgefield Playhouse's Arts in Education Program is supported by Fairfield County Bank & Books On the Common

Ridgefield Playhouse is grateful to partner with Fairfield County Bank (inaugural sponsor) and Books on the Common on their Arts in Education "From Page to Stage" Enrichment Program. The Playhouse's Arts in Education program introduces students, no matter their economic background, to the arts – for free – through a full roster of one hour curriculum-related shows. With the "From Page to Stage" initiative, students leave the theater with a copy of the book related to the live performance they saw on stage.
Thanks to this partnership, over 8,000 books will be distributed to students free of charge by the end of this school year, and 60% of the 15,000 students attending performances represent Title 1 districts in our region.
These three organizations that make "From Page to Stage" possible believe that advancing the arts is an essential element of schooling and lifelong learning, as students are encouraged to explore diverse perspectives and expand their imaginations.

"We are proud of our long standing partnership with two local businesses who champion our Arts in Education program. It is because of their commitment to supporting arts education in our community that we can introduce thousands of students to live theater while supporting classroom curriculum, creating livelong memories along the way!" Ridgefield Playhouse Executive Director, Ashley Paltauf
"Witnessing the joy and enthusiasm of students as they experience live theater, many for the first or only time, is truly invaluable. From Page to Stage connects the performance with the book students receive to enrich their classroom learning, and it is deeply rewarding to be part of a program that brings literature to life for students." Fairfield County Bank Vice President and Marketing Manager, Laura Silver

"Our students absolutely loved the show and were fully engaged from beginning to end...One of the most meaningful parts of the experience was receiving the book afterwards. The students were so happy to take it home and read it. Overall, this experience was memorable and had a lasting positive impact on our students' enthusiasm for reading and the arts." - Cesar Batalla, 2nd Grade Elementary Teacher, Bridgeport
