Ridgefield Police Add ATV To Assist With Search And Rescue Efforts

The vehicle will help officers respond to calls in state parks and other hard-to-reach areas, police said.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Police Department has added a new all-terrain vehicle to its fleet to assist with search and rescue operations, police said.

The ATV was purchased with support from the Ridgefield Thrift Shop, according to police.

Officials said the vehicle will help officers respond more effectively to calls in local state parks and other areas that can be difficult to access, particularly as outdoor activity increases in warmer weather.
