Ridgefield Police Charge NY Juvenile In 'Racial Slur' Investigation
The teen allegedly spray-painted a racial slur onto a turf field at Ridgefield High School's Tiger Hollow complex Wednesday night.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Police have charged a 17-year-old following their investigation into a racial slur spray-painted onto a turf field at Ridgefield High School's Tiger Hollow complex Wednesday night.
The Brewster, NY teen was arrested Thursday and charged with third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree intimidation based on bigotry/bias. The boy was released into the custody of his parents, according to Capt. Jeff Raines of the Ridgefield Police Department. He is scheduled to appear before Juvenile Court in Bridgeport on June 27.
