Ridgefield Police Department to Hold Citizen Police Academy
The Ridgefield Police Department said their goal is to connect the community and the police by teaching about their work.

Ridgefield Police Department announced in a news release that they are holding the Citizen Police Academy, a program to educate participants about various aspects of police work. Participants will gain insight into how the police department works and provides services to the community.
The Ridgefield Police Department said their goal is to connect the community and the police by teaching about crime scene investigation, firearms, TASER, speed enforcement, D.U.I. and about the department’s history.
The Academy begin on March 29, 2016 and will meet every Tuesday from 6 - 9 p.m. for 8 weeks. Classes will be held at police headquarters, 76 East Ridge Road, Ridgefield.
Applicants must be a minimum of eighteen years old at the time an application is submitted. Applicants should live or work in Ridgefield.
