Ridgefield Police Investigating Forgery
Someone tried to pass a counterfeit $20 at a local business.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Police are investigating a counterfeit $20 bill that was received at a local business on Tuesday about 6 p.m.
The Ridgefield Police Department says that it appears the bill came from a store in Norwalk.
The police are encouraging residents to familiarize themselves with the security features of their money by visiting the website of the U.S. Currency Information Program.

The PD is also encouraging business owners to call 203-438-6531 if they receive a bill they think is counterfeit.
