Ridgefield Police at Top of List for Traffic Stops
Compared to other Connecticut towns, Ridgefield pulls over more drivers for traffic violations.

Data shows that Ridgefield police are more likely to pull over drivers than officers in other Connecticut towns.
An article in the Ridgefield Press said Ridgefield police stopped around 184 drivers per officer during the past year.
Newtown was the only municipality to top that, with 204 stops per officer.

Spokesman Capt. Jeffery Freitz of the Ridgefield Police Department said his department takes an aggressive stand of violations caused by motor vehicles.
