Ridgefield Police Welcome K-9 Odin To The Force

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The police are welcoming a new K-9 officer to the force.

K-9 Odin, badge #222, is a 14-month-old Belgian Malinois from Slovakia. He and his handler, Officer Michael McKnight, will start training in September.

After they complete twelve weeks of intense training, McKnight and K-9 Odin (whose name means "destined for greatness" according to police officials) will be on patrol.

"We want to welcome Odin to our Department and to the Ridgefield community," police officials posted on Facebook.
