Ridgefield Ranked In Top 10 Places To Live In Connecticut
The rankings were formed using data from the U.S. Census, FBI, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the CDC and resident reviews.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield was recently named the 10th best place to live in Connecticut.
School and neighborhood ranking website Niche.com named the town the No. 10 place in the state to live for 2022, with West Hartford ranked No. 1, Southport No. 2 and Weatogue coming in third.
Niche creates its annual rankings using data from the U.S. Census, FBI, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and CDC, combined with millions of resident reviews. The company considers factors such as diversity, public schools, affordability, housing market, nightlife and more.
Ridgefield won top marks — an "A+" each — for its family-friendliness and schools. The town was ranked No. 4 among the best places to raise a family, and its schools were ranked 11th in the state.
Niche scored Ridgefield's housing and crime/ safety categories "B+." The nightlife was given a "B," and diversity a "B-."
Niche liked Ridgefield's outdoor activities and the fitness of its residents (both scored an "A"), but took issue with the cost of living, which only scored a "C".
