"Ridgefield Rocks" Returns to Nod Hill Brewery for concert fundraiser to benefit ROAR.

Ridgefield's music-philanthropy group is back for another "funlanthropy" family concert event at Nod Hill for ROAR

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield’s music-philanthropy group, Ridgefield Rocks, is back for another “funlanthropy” concert event to benefit the Ridgefield community. This year’s fundraising concert will be hosted at Nod Hill Brewery’s Biergarten on Friday, August 8th from 5:30pm to 9:00pm, in support of ROAR (Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue). The evening promises great local music, delicious craft beer, fun activities for families and a celebration of compassion for animals in need. Don’t leave Fido home! Leashed dogs are encouraged to join the party!

Live music will be provided by returning local favorites Faster Things – an Allman Brothers Tribute Band, bringing their soulful Southern rock sound to the brewery’s outdoor Biergarten space.
While the event is free and open to the public, Treats Pupperia and other Exhibiting Sponsors will be onsite sharing information, offering products and services and raising funds to support ROAR’s mission. ROAR will also be on-site with some of its adoptable dogs. Pet owners are encouraged to dress up their dogs for a dog parade and costume contest that will be held.

Thanks to Monroe and Rob Fried for their generous contribution as "Anchor Sponsors". A portion of Geo-Bunny beer sales during the event will be donated to ROAR by Nod Hill Brewery and Ancona’s Wines and Liquors. Guests can also support ROAR by making donations to receive complimentary onsite nail clippings for their dogs provided by Treated Groom Spa, and family portrait photos with their dogs, provided by TMR Imagery. Ridgefield Veterinary Center is also one of our generous sponsors.

Since 2000, ROAR has rescued and found loving homes for close to 6,000 cats and dogs in Ridgefield and the surrounding areas. “The generous, ongoing support of our donors, sponsors and volunteers allows ROAR to continue rescuing homeless dogs and cats and match them with their forever families,” said Barry London, ROAR Board Member. “We are grateful to Ridgefield Rocks and Nod Hill Brewery for hosting this event and inviting the community to help us save even more animals.”
Nod Hill Brewery co-founder Dave Kaye emphasized the brewery’s dedication to community engagement. “We designed our outdoor Biergarten to be a welcoming spot for the whole family—four-legged friends included. We're thrilled to once again team up with ROAR and Ridgefield Rocks to support a cause that means so much to our community.”

JD Seem, Director of Ridgefield Rocks, added: “Thanks to our generous sponsors and partners at Nod Hill Brewery, we’re excited to build on the success of last year’s event and make this year even more impactful.”

The event starts at 5:30. Music starts at 6:30pm and families, friends, and dog lovers from Ridgefield and neighboring towns are encouraged to come out and enjoy the evening.
