Ridgefield School Superintendent Placed On Leave
Superintendent Karen Baldwin was placed on leave with pay after accusations of plagiarism.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield Superintendent Karen Baldwin was placed on administrative leave after she was accused of plagiarism.
The Board of Education voted to put Baldwin on leave with pay, according to the Ridgefield Press. A lawyer will also be hired to investigate the claims.
High school senior Paul Kim noted that portions of Baldwin's letter sent to students after the Parkland, Fla. school shooting resembled those of West Hartford Superintendent Tom Moore's letter to his school community, according to the News-Times.

Baldwin apologized and said that Moore's letter was shared through the Connecticut Association of Public Superintendents as a resource.
However, Kim said that three more instances of alleged plagiarism were found, including one in last year's budget process.
