Ridgefield Schools Superintendent Resigns
The resignation of Superintendent William Collins was announced in an email on Monday.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — The top boss of Ridgefield's public schools resigned Monday night.
The resignation of Superintendent William Collins was announced in an email distributed by Board of Education Chair Margaret Stamatis.
Stamatis said that Collins’ resignation was due to medical complications.
Collins has been on medical leave since May 15. Last week, Stamatis emailed parents to inform them that Collins would remain out "until further notice," and that his responsibilities would continue to be handled by Dr. JeanAnn Paddyfote, who has been serving as interim superintendent since July 1.
