Theboys hockey team extended its winning streak to seven games Saturday with a 3-2 victory over St. Joseph at the Winter Garden Arena.
Sean Wilkerson snapped a 2-2 tie with just under 5 1/2 minutes remaining for the fourth-ranked Tigers, who are likely to move up in the state poll after defeating No. 2 Notre Dame of West Haven 2-1 in its previous game.

Johnny Richards and Jack Christensen also scored for Ridgefield, which has not lost since suffering a 3-0 loss to top-ranked Fairfield Prep in its season opener.
St. Joseph, which was coming off a last-minute 6-5 victory over Greenwich, dropped to 5-4.

After routing Bassick 73-46 on Friday, the Ridgefield boys basketball team emerged as one of only two remaining unbeatens in the FCIAC.
Jeff Racy and Kurt Steidl each scored 15 points for the Tigers, who improved to 8-0 overall and 6-0 in league play.
Ridgefield's depth was on display as Jack Heller, Pat Racy and Seth von Kuhn all chipped in with 12 points, giving the Tigers five players in double figures.
Ridgefield wore down Bassick in the final quarter. After taking a 53-44 lead into the fourth period, the Tigers outscored the Lions 20-2 over the final eight minutes to turn the contest into a rout.
Bassick, which earned a forfeit win over Westhill on Friday, dropped to 7-2 and 5-2.
Ridgefield joins St. Joseph (9-0, 7-0) as the only FCIAC teams still unbeaten. The Cadets defeated Trumbull 61-46 on Friday.
Danbury went into Friday without a loss, but suffered a 56-46 defeat to Trinity Catholic to fall to 7-1 and 5-1.

The Ridgefield girls hockey team suffered a 3-0 loss at Simsbury on Saturday.
The defeat snapped a five-game winning streak for the Tigers, who dropped to 8-3.
Simsbury improved to 9-3 with two of the wins against Ridgefield. The Indians also handed the Tigers their previous loss, 2-1 on Dec. 27 at the Winter Garden Arena.
