The boys basketball team has not allowed more than 50 points in any game this season.

The Tigers actually gave up a season high on Friday when they defeated Bassick 73-47 to improve to 8-0. Ridgefield's closest game was a 60-40 victory over Norwalk on Jan. 6.

New Canaan, meanwhile, has had trouble scoring all season and was held under 30 points in last Thursday's 45-29 to Staples. It was the seventh loss in eight games for the Rams under first-year coach Mike Halley.

If form holds, Ridgefield should have another breather when its visits New Canaan on Tuesday in a 7 p.m. start.
