The following do not represent lottery numbers: 50, 23, 43, 34, 24, 21, 20, 26, 26 and 25.

Instead, they represent the margin of victory in each game for the undefeated boys basketball team, which ran roughshod over its opponents in the first half of the season.

Once again, Ridgefield showed its balance with four players scoring in double figures. Jeff Racy scored 14 points, Pat Racy 12 and Seth von Kuhn 11.

Trinity Catholic (8-3) struggled somewhat in the first half, losing to New London in the Northeast Christmas Classic, then dropping conference games to Greenwich and St. Joseph.

However, this is still a solid team led by 6-foot-5 swingman Jason Boswell, who transferred in from national power St. Patrick in New Jersey.

The Crusaders also have a talented point guard in junior Schadrac Casimir and a force inside in seven-foot-1 sophomore center Pascal Chukwu.

Trinity Catholic appears to have righted the ship and is coming off routs of Darien and New Canaan last week. The Crusaders drubbed New Canaan 86-43 on Friday.

Ridgefield, which has not yet to allow any opponents to reach 50 points this season, moved up one spot to eighth in this week's New Haven Register top 10 media state poll. Trinity Catholic is ranked 14th.

The Ridgefield girls basketball team, which is coming off a 68-51 loss to undefeated Danbury, visits Trinity Catholic in a 6 p.m. tipoff.

At 4-8, the Tigers need to stay reeling off some wins to return to the Class LL state tournament.

Trinity Catholic (7-6, 6-5) is battling for an FCIAC playoff spot is currently tied for ninth with New Canaan (6-5), one-half game behind Darien, Norwalk and Westhill, who are all 6-4 in conference play.

Trinity Catholic posted an important 54-47 win over New Canaan on Friday.
