The boys hockey team held on to the No. 2 ranking in this week's New Haven Register top 10 media state poll.
Fairfield Prep (8-2) remained a unanimous No. 1, collecting all 15 first-place votes.

Ridgefield (10-1) defeated Trinity Catholic 6-2 on Wednesday afternoon to extend its winning streak to 10 games.
Sean Wilkinson scored two goals for the Tigers and Callan McCormick, Vin Rella, Danny McMullan and Johnny Richards each tallied once. Nate Glieden made 13 saves for Ridgefield.

The Tigers held a 1-0 lead after the first period, then broke it open in the second when they outscored Trinity Catholic, 4-1.
Notre Dame-West Haven (10-2) is third in the Register poll, followed by Hamden (7-3) and Glastonbury (7-2) to complete the top five.
South Windsor (8-2) is sixth, followed by West Haven (6-3), Xavier (6-4-2), East Haven (8-1-2) and Darien (6-3).
New Canaan (6-3-1) is receiving votes.

The FCIAC Central Division indoor track and field championship takes place on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wilton.
Participating teams are Stamford, Norwalk, Fairfield Ludlowe, Ridgefield, McMahon and Harding.
