Ridgefield midfielder Andrew Buckanavage and defenseman Matt Shannon were two of 15 boys lacrosse players from Fairfield County to earn All-American honors.
In addition, Buckanavage and Shannon joined teammates Aiden Scott (first team attack) and Travis Tiger (second team, defense) on the All-State team.

Andrew Suslavich was named an academic All-American.
-- Ridgefield's Wyatt Cooper and Michael Peckham were named to the all-FCIAC boys volleyball first team. Chris Bruno made the honorable metion team.
In tennis, Ridgefield's Arnaud Valentin earned a spot on the all-FCIAC first squad while Zach Passman was an honorable mention pick.

-- Ridgefield girls cross country and track and field coach Sandy Hoddinott announced his retirement earlier in the week.
The 73-year-old Hoddinott coached the cross country team from 2000 through 2010 and the indoor and outdoor track squads for the past decade.
Hoddinott's teams combined to win nine conference championships and 29 division crowns.
