Dimitris Diner (Prep 13) and Union Savings Bank (U-15) won Ridgefield town Babe Ruth championships on Sunday.

Dimitris Diner, coached by Joe Walsh,  defeated Ridgefield Supply, coached by Tom Kwalwasser, 9-8.

In the older age bracket, Union Savings Bank, coached by Chris Molyneaux, defeated Ridgefield Screen Printing, coached by Scott Wolfarth, 7-3.

-- Mike DeVivo belted a three-run double in the first inning Saturday, sparking the Ridgefield senior American Legion team to a 4-2 victory over Wilton.

Ridgefield's Jason Marra had an outstanding catch in left and a double and key RBI single in the sixth. Matt Mastrogiorgio also had an RBI in the win.

Ridgefield, which dropped to 2-5 following a 10-5 defeat to Norwalk on Sunday, has endured some tough luck early in the season as two of the losses - both by Dan Zarnik - have come in the seventh.  Another game with Fairfield was suspended in the ninth inning.  

Dan Greenberg has a save, Kyle de Leon has a win and Devin Martin is 1-1.  

-- Ridgefield's Arnaud Valentin earned a spot on the all-FCIAC boys tennis first team while Zach Passman was an honorable mention pick.

In boys track and field, Ridgefield's Matt Shiller was named to the all-FCIAC second team in the javelin.  On the girls' side, Ellie Gravitte was a first-team pick the javelin.

The all-towns District One Little League tournament of champions gets away on Monday with Ridgefield National facing Darien American in a first-round game at Aldrich Field (5:45 p.m.)

Quarterfinals in the single elimination event are set for Wednesday, followed by the semifinals on Thursday and the finals on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Darien National vs. Rowayton, 5:45 p.m., at Bailey Beach

Ridgefield American vs. Wilton, 5:45 p.m., at Bill Terry Field

Weston vs. Darien American/Ridgefield National winner, TBA

The Norwalk Jaycees won last year's TOC, defeating Rowayton Hose, 4-3.
