Ridgefield American and Ridgefield National begin pool play this week in the District One 12-year-old Little League tournament.
Ridgefield American opened with a 17-2 loss on Wednesday to National Lione of (Stamford while Ridgefield National opens pool play on Friday against Stamford Federal at 5:45 p.m. at Stamford's Frank Noto Field.

Ridgefield American is back in action on Sunday against Redding at Aldrich Field (12 p.m.). Each team will play six games in pool play that continues through July 10.
