-- Ridgefield's Bryan Galvin was named to the all-FCIAC first team on Thursday, one of a number of Tigers honored by the league. Chris Esemplare was named to the all-FCIAC Central Division team and Kurt Steidl, Jeff Racy, and Seth von Kuhn earned spots on the all-Central honorable mention squad.
Galvin played in the 36th annual CHSCA Senior All-Star Festival on Thursday at Maloney High School in Meriden.

-- Ridgefield girls basketball player Molly Welch earned a spot on the all-FCIAC first team. Emily Favorite was named to the second team while Kathryn Cholko was chosen for the third team. Ridgefield's Lauren Eckstrom received honorable mention status.
The Tigers (18-6) posted the second-best regular-season record in the FCIAC, losing to Trumbull in the championship game.
