The field is set for the FCIAC boys lacrosse tournament, which begins on Saturday. Darien, which defeated Ridgefield 17-10 on Wednesday, is the No. 1 seed. The other top seeds are Greenwich, Ridgefield and New Canaan.

In girls lacrosse,Staples finished unbeaten in conference play and earned the No. 1 for the expanded eight-team playoffs that begin on Friday .

Darien 17, Ridgefield 10 -- Andrew Buckanavage scored four goals for the Tigers, who finished the regular season at 12-4.

Boys volleyball
Ridgefield 3, Staples 2 -- Tigers avenged a 3-1 loss to the Wreckers last week and set up another possible meeting with Staples in the FCIAC semifinals next week. The result left both teams with 15-3.
