The Ridgefield football team took advantage of a quick start Saturday to post a 35-20 victory over Harding.

Sam Gravitte, Connor Rowe and John Turner rushed for touchdowns in the first quarter when the Tigers (6-2) built a 21-0 lead.
After the Presidents (21-8) pulled within 21-8, Connor Rowe tossed a touchdown to Jack Heller and A.J. Jones returned a fumble for a touchdown to give Ridgefield a 35-8 halftime cushion.

Ridgefield will try to keep its slim state playoff hopes alive next week at Bridgeport Central, which is coming off a 50-20 win against Trumbull.
The Tigers are 11th in the Class LL standings, meaning they have to jump over three teams in the final two weeks. There are seven teams in the division with one loss, including No. 4 Norwalk and No. 10 Greenwich.
