After handing Wilton its first loss of the season with a 47-20 win on Thursday, the Ridgefield football team is 11th in the latest CIAC Class LL state rankings.
The Tigers (3-1) are behind nine undefeated teams in the division and No. 10 Greenwich (3-1), which opened the season with a 16-3 win over Ridgefield. The top eight qualify for the state playoffs. Among the unbeatens are Norwalk (4-0) and Staples (3-0) of the FCIAC.

Ridgefield begins a three-game homestand on Friday against Fairfield Warde (2-2), which could be the FCIAC's most improved team despite its .500 record.
The Mustangs held leads against Darien (19-3, halftime) and New Canaan (14-7, fourth quarter) before eventually losing both games.

Ridgefield then hosts unbeaten Norwalk and McMahon (1-3), which is coming off back-to-back heartbreakers to Staples (24-21) and New Canaan (36-33).
