Although Fairfield Warde is just 2-2, the Mustangs could be one of the FCIAC's most improved teams as they had second-half leads against Darien (19-3 halftime) and New Canaan (14-7 early in the fourth quarter) who are each undefeated.
Last week, Warde snapped its two-game slide with a 40-6 win over Bassick. The Mustangs are led by powerful runner Delvin Lofton, who could be the top rushing threat in the FCIAC. Lofton ran for 229 yards in Warde's season-opening 22-15 win over McMahon.
