The year-round travel program will field one boys and one girls team per age group from ninth-graders through high school seniors. Each team will have a maximum 28-player roster and two coaches per team.
The team program will start with a rigorous summer 2012 training schedule on outdoor fields, and follow up with a fall and winter practice and play program held on CPCT’s 100-yard indoor turf field and in the Chelsea Piers CT Athletic Training Facility. The teams will travel regionally to compete.

“I am excited to be creating what will be the best club program in Connecticut,” Bulkley said. "There is a lot of talent in Fairfield County. With our outstanding athletic facility at Chelsea Piers Connecticut and a roster of talented, dedicated coaches, I expect that CP-LAX will quickly become a dominant force in Fairfield County “

The Ridgefield football team will be looking to avoid an 0-2 start on Friday when the Tigers host Fairfield Ludlowe (7 p.m.).
The Tigers hope to get their offense going after being held without a touchdown in last week's season-opening 16-3 loss at Greenwich.
Ridgefield quarterback Connor Rowe passed for 235 yards a week ago, but the Tigers often shot themselves in the foot with five turnovers.
Ridgefield played well on defense, keeping the Cardinals' offense out of the end zone.
However, the Tigers allowed a special teams score as Greenwich returned the second-half kickoff for a touchdown, then yielded a defensive touchdown when Rowe's interception was returned 82 yards.
Ridgefield's only points came on Sam Gravitte's 22-yard field goal in the field goal.
Ridgefield's offense could have more success against Ludlowe, which surrendered four first-half touchdowns in last week's 38-13 loss to defending FCIAC champion Darien.
