Ridgefield, Wilton Boys Hockey Teams Set For Winter Garden Cup
The fourth annual game will be played on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Winter Garden Arena

The fourth annual Winter Garden Cup, featuring the boys hockey teams from Ridgefield and Wilton, is set for Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Winter Garden Arena.
Ridgefield has won the three previous games, including a 4-2 victory last season.
Ranked second in the state, the Tigers (13-1) again will be the favorite in this year's clash as they have won 13 straight games since a season-opening 3-0 loss to top-ranked Fairfield Prep.

However, Wilton has been on a tear since opening the season at 0-7, winning six of its last seven games to improve to 6-8.
The Warriors, who are coming off a solid 3-0 victory over St. Joseph on Saturday, visit Stamford on Tuesday (4:30 p.m at the Terry Conners Rink) before the showdown against the Tigers.

A win over the Black Knights would put Wilton in a position to clinch a state tournament berth with an upset of Ridgefield, and the Warriors would love nothing better than to end the Tigers' 13-game winning streak.
