Ridgefield Wins 5th Boys Volleyball State Title Over Darien
It was a come from behind victory for the Ridgefield Tigers, who are state champions in boys volleyball.

RIDGEFIELD/DARIEN, CT — It was a come from behind victory for the Ridgefield Tigers, who are state champions in boys volleyball.
The Darien Wave took the first set 25-13, but after falling behind 5-0 in the second set, the Tigers stormed back to take the second set 25-19.
Ridgefield won the third set 25-23 and then the fourth and final set 25-16.
"Ridgefield takes the fourth set 25-16 and wins the state title. Our boys had a terrific season, one to be proud of! Just couldn’t quite figure out the Tigers," posted the Darien High School Athletics X account, formerly known as Twitter. "Thank you to our seniors and congrats on some decorated careers!"
"TIGERS WIN!!!!!! Ridgefield tops Darien 3-0 in the Class L Championship to claim the title!!!! AWESOME JOB BOYS!!" wrote Dane Street, Ridgefield's athletic director, on X.
The CIAC wrote on X that "After dropping the first set of the Class L Boys Volleyball State Championship to Darien, Ridgefield rallies for a 3-1 win (13-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-16) - The Tigers 5th all-time boys volleyball state title!" (You can view the Ridgefield team photo here).
