Ridgefield Woman Facing DUI Charge After Running 2 Red Lights: Police

The woman also reportedly almost hit a utility pole and another vehicle.

A Ridgefield woman is facing a DUI charge in Wilton after police say she ran two red lights, crossed over the double yellow line and nearly hit a utility pole and another vehicle.

Police received a report of an erratic driver traveling south on Danbury Road on Sunday around 6:30 p.m. Police stopped the vehicle at Westport Road.

The driver, Courtney Cahill, 29 failed to perform standard field sobriety tests, police said. She was charged with driving under the influence, two counts of failure to obey control signal and failure to drive right.

Cahill was released on a promise to appear in court on Aug. 27.
