Ridgefield's Finest Welcome New Officer

RIDGEFIELD, CT --- The Ridgefield police welcomed their latest officer last week in a swearing-in ceremony at police headquarters. Officer Carlos Olivares served as a New York Corrections Officer assigned to the Downstate Correctional Facility for over 7 years before joining the Ridgefield PD. He is an active member of the Air National Guard and an Operation Enduring Freedom Veteran who has served one tour of duty in Afghanistan. Officer Olivares will be attending training at the Connecticut Police Academy for the next 6 ½ months.
