I am writing to enthusiastically support Angela Rice for Ridgefield's Board of Education. I first met Angela more than ten years ago when her son, Tommy, was entering Branchville Elementary School as a new kindergartener. As a fifth grade teacher at Branchville, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Angela on numerous occasions over the years in her role as BES PTA president, chair of the PTA’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Committee, room parent, classroom volunteer, substitute teacher, and fellow parent.

Angela is a true team player whose dedication, integrity, and passion is evident in everything she does. Time and time again, I have witnessed Angela’s commitment to our students, our schools, and our community. She is adept at collaborating effectively with teachers, parents and administrators to address complex issues.

In her many volunteer roles over the years and as an educator herself, Angela has developed an extensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities that come with running our schools. She is a natural leader and problem solver who brings a balanced, fair, unbiased perspective to every situation.
I am confident that Angela will serve on the BOE with the highest level of integrity and will be an invaluable representative for our students, parents, educators, and staff. Angela has what it takes to make the decisions that serve the best interest of our children, our schools, and our community and I wholeheartedly recommend her for this important position.
