'State of the Lake' Annual Meeting in Ridgefield March 19

The annual State of the Lake meeting planned by the Mamanasco Lake Improvement Fund will be held March 19 at 8 p.m.

The meeting will take place in the CVS Community Room located at 467 Main Street in Ridgefield.

Efforts to reduce algae and weed growth in the lake will be discussed during the meeting, the Ridgefield Press reports. Mark Amler will discuss his firm, Aquacleaner Connecticut’s lake weeds harvesting and suction dredging work that was started last fall.

The project that has a $40,000 price tag will continue in the spring.

All residents interested in the lake are welcome to attend.
