On the approximately two-mile route, he’ll describe buildings that are no longer standing as well as tell how some have been altered or moved. Learn about an inn (sadly no longer standing) that was home to two well-known artists and doubled in the off-season as a boys’ school. Sanders will tell the story of Wesley Hall’s changing appearance when it was privately owned and its changing use as part of the Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church complex.
The group size is limited to 20, age 12 or older. Tickets are $35 or $30 for Ridgefield Historical Society members. For more information, visit ridgefieldhistoricalsociety.org; for tickets, https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/main-street-walking-tour-with-jack-sanders.
