Suspected Robber Hid in Store: Police

Ridgefield Police are investigating the incident that took place Sept. 13.

Police are investigating after they responded to the report of a robbery at Rite Aid located on Danbury Road.

Police responded to the reported robbery around 10:20 a.m. on Sept. 13. After investigating, police found that an unknown male entered the store around 8 p.m. on Sept. 12 and hid in the store till all employees left the building.

The male then stayed in the store till 2 a.m., police said. He reportedly rummaged through various items but it is unclear if anything was taken.

He is described as a white male in his mid to late 20s with a slim build and is approximately 6 feet tall. He has brown hair with blonde highlights and was wearing orange cargo shorts with an olive green t-shirt and tan construction boots on the night of the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective DuBord at 203-438-6531. The case is currently under investigation.
