Voters Approve Beer Trucks at Breweries and Wineries
The new rule was approved almost unanimously by more than 50 voters.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Residents voted to carve out an exception for breweries and wineries in the 2016 ordinance forbidding mobile food vendors from staying in one spot for more than 15 minutes.
As a result, patrons of Nod Hill Brewery on Route 7 will soon likely be able to grab a taco or hot dog as they buzz in and out of the suds shop.
That, of course, was the idea when the brewery started a petition that eventually garnered nearly 400 signatures -- over two percent of the town's population, as required by charter -- and so triggered last week's referendum.
