WEATHER UPDATE: Ridgefield's Stormy Weekend Forecast
Once again thunderstorms and rain are possible this weekend.

We had been on a roll of having gorgeous weather weekends for the past six weeks or so, but that is about to change somewhat this weekend.
It’s not a complete washout as Saturday is definitely the best weather day of the weekend.
In reality the best weather is forecast for today with sunny skies and temps in the high 70s in southern Connecticut and into the mid 80s in the northern part of the state.

For Saturday, showers and thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon hours along the southern half of the state, while there appears to be no rain threat in the northern half of the state on Saturday.
Plenty of sun is also forecast for Saturday with highs between 77-83 in Connecticut with cooler temps at the Shoreline.

On Saturday night thunderstorms are possible for the entire state and that carries over into Sunday.
Fog may also be an issue late Saturday/early Sunday and then it will be cloudy all day on Sunday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day and evening.
Up to a half inch of rain is possible.
Here is Ridgefield’s latest hyperlocal National Weather Service forecast:
- Today: Sunny, with a high near 80. East wind around 6 mph becoming south in the afternoon.
- Tonight: Patchy fog after 4am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 60. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
- Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Patchy fog before 7am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 80. South wind 6 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
- Saturday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. South wind 8 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
- Sunday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a high near 73. Southwest wind around 8 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
- Sunday Night: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 50. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
