A Weekend of Arts & Culture at The Ridgefield Playhouse!
A Cabaret Show, Opera Screening and Two FREE Diversity Film Screenings!

The Ridgefield Playhouse has a full weekend of arts and culture! Stories and songs on Saturday night with famed fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi, a modern take on a classic opera on Sunday afternoon and Sunday night we'll honor Juneteenth with a special Diversity Film Screening and Celebrate Pride Month with a screening of Cured on Monday!
Isaac Mizrahi’s Cabaret Show on Saturday, June 18 at 8pm - it will be an evening of stories, songs and lots of rosé! The famed fashion designer will also croon classics from Cole Porter to Barbra Streisand and beyond! Don’t miss exclusive pre-show events in our newly renovated lobby! At the new piano bar we’ll be serving Isaac’s signature drink, a Rosé Spritzer! Check out the pop-up “Cabaret Shop” with Bohemian Royalty featuring Vintage Haute Couture from her curated collection - 40% of all sales will benefit The Ridgefield Playhouse Arts for Everyone Outreach Program; and Jonathan Joseph of Little Red Fashion, the fashion company for kids 6 -18, will be on hand! VIP Meet and Greet upgrades are available - you can get a selfie with Isaac after the show! On Sunday, June 19 we’ll present an Encore in HD screening of The Met Opera’s Lucia di Lammermoor at 12:55pm. Soprano Nadine Sierra takes on one of the repertory’s most formidable and storied roles, in this new production which moves the Bel Canto masterpiece from 18th-century Scotland to a present-day town in the American Rust Belt. On Sunday evening, The Ridgefield Playhouse will honor Juneteenth with a FREE screening of Dear White People at 7:30pm, part of the Aquarion Water Company Diversity Film Series. See the film that launched the popular Netflix series. Monday, June 20 brings an additional FREE Diversity Film Screening. In recognition of Pride Month, see the award winning documentary CURED on the big screen at 7:30pm. The bonus content for CURED will consist of an interview with award-winning New York based filmmaker/writer Bennett Singer, who in addition to producing many award-winning films, is the co-producer of the film CURED. Entertainment reporter, Cheryl Washington, will lead the interview which can be seen following the screening in the theater or on The Ridgefield Playhouse YouTube channel.
