2 Hospitalized After Crash In Rocky Hill: Fire Officials
The response was part of a busy day for firefighters, which also included calls for a second crash, a vehicle fire at a home, and more.
ROCKY HILL, CT — Two people were hospitalized after a crash Tuesday in Rocky Hill, according to fire officials.
Officials said the crash happened on Trinity Ridge, and both people were taken to the hospital with injuries that weren’t life-threatening.
The response was one of six calls the Rocky Hill Fire Department responded to on Feb. 3. The calls included a second crash, a natural gas leak, a fire alarm, and a residential lock-out, according to a post on the Rocky Hill Fire Department’s Facebook page.

The second crash was on West Street at the Exit 23 on-ramp with injuries that officials said were minor.
There were significant delays in the area during the incident, according to officials.

“At approximately 4:10 p.m., the RHFD was dispatched to a vehicle on fire on Charter Rd. in close proximity to the residence,” officials wrote in the post. “On arrival, it was determined that the engine compartment of the vehicle was on fire and was parked about six feet from the house. Arriving apparatus extinguished the fire before it had affected the structure.
“During the Charter Rd. incident the roadway was shut down from Town Line Rd. to Waters Ave. to allow the crews to work safely.
“There were no injuries to the residents or any first responders.
“Thank you to our firefighters for their hard work on this busy day.”
