The unclaimed lottery prize money could end up going to the state, officials said.

ROCKY HILL, CT — A top prize Cash5 lottery ticket worth six figures has gone unclaimed and the money could be put into the state coffers as a result, a Connecticut Lottery official said Wednesday.

Monday was the last day to claim a $100,000 Cash5 top prize winning ticket from the Aug. 9 drawing. The winning ticket was sold in Hartford County.

No one came forward to claim it, lottery officials said.
