CT Lotto Jackpot At Highest Mark Since Late 1990s

The jackpot in the Connecticut Lottery's Lotto game is at its highest mark in more than a decade.

ROCKY HILL, CT — The jackpot in the Connecticut Lottery's Lotto game is at its highest mark in more than a decade.

Friday's estimated jackpot is $12.3 million, with a cash lump sum option of $10 million, officials said.

"For just $1 per play, Connecticut's Lotto jackpot game gives players the best chance at the $12.3 million prize," said Greg Smith, CT Lottery's president and CEO. "We are looking forward to celebrating the winner of this life-changing jackpot."

Playing Lotto can be played with a "quick pick" computer-generated set of numbers or players can select their own numbers. The Lotto jackpot is won by matching all six numbers drawn.

The last time the Lotto jackpot exceeded $12.3 million was on Aug. 20, 1999 when it was $12.5 million.

Lotto drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 10:38pm and televised on WCCT-TV. On drawing nights, wagering is closed at 10:20 p.m. and reopens at 10:46 p.m.

The overall odds of winning a Lotto prize are 1 in 39.3. The odds of winning the jackpot are approximately 1 in 7,059,052.
