MDC: Reservoir Capacity Down to 75 Percent for Rocky Hill, Several Other Towns
The MDC has issued a drought advisory for several area towns.

Metropolitan District Commission officials on Thursday said that the water authority's reservoir supply stands at 75 percent of capacity. That translates into a drought advisory, MDC officials said.
Without any rain and with continued "normal daily water usage," that equates to 498 days of supply, MDC officials said.
MDC officials are requesting municipal officials to cut back on water use for "non-essential operations" like street cleaning, municipal watering and vehicle flushing.

They are also encouraging residents to use water "wisely" and reduce usage by repairing leaky toilets and faucets, turning faucets off while brushing teeth or shaving and running washers and dryers with full loads.
