It dragged on in a CT town for more than a year (courant.com) — Rocky Hill officials and the owner of the Main Street Citgo are heading to court to approve a settlement that would allow a major Atlantis Fresh expansion while banning 24-hour operations. After intense neighborhood opposition over traffic, noise, and lighting, the proposed deal limits hours to 5 a.m.–midnight and adjusts site access and parking to ease congestion near West Street. 
• Judge denies diversionary program for man accused of threatening Connecticut state senator (newsbreak.com) — A Rocky Hill man accused of repeatedly threatening state Sen. Matt Lesser was denied entry into a diversionary program after a judge said he couldn't conclude the defendant was unlikely to reoffend. Rocky Hill police had previously arrested him, seized firearms from his Rocky Hill home, and detailed online comments that allegedly forced Lesser's family to relocate.
• Martha Stewart's new restaurant among nominees for Connecticut's CRAZIES food awards (newstimes.com) — Rocky Hill's Ani's Table & Marketplace is among the finalists for this year's statewide CRAZIES hospitality awards, putting a local favorite in the spotlight. The Connecticut Restaurant & Hospitality Association will honor winners at Foxwoods in December, with public voting open through November and dozens of restaurants and hotels from across the state recognized.
