Police Probe Serious New Year's Eve Crash In Rocky Hill: RHPD
The two-vehicle accident injured two operators, one critically.
ROCKY HILL, CT — Police are investigating a serious New Year's Eve crash in Rocky Hill that injured two, one critically.
According to the Rocky Hill Police Department, at about 6:45 p.m. Sunday, the Rocky Hill Police Communication Center received several 911 emergency calls reporting a motor vehicle collision on West Street at its intersection with Gilbert Avenue.
Rocky Hill police officers along with the Rocky Hill Fire Department, Rocky Hill Volunteer Ambulance, and Aetna Ambulance were dispatched to the scene, police said.
Officers located a two-vehicle collision with one of the vehicles having rolled over, according to police. The RHPD said officers provided medical aid to the injured male operators.

There were no passengers in either vehicle, according to the RHPD.
Both operators were transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance.

One of the operators was listed in critical condition and the other operator was in fair condition, police said in a release.
The RHPD said the identity of the operators is not going to be released at this time.
Police said the Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Squad was activated and will assume the investigation.
