Rocky Hill Man Assaults Friend's Father in Naugatuck: Police

Naugatuck police say the accused was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the incident.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A man who police say was intoxicated is accused of assaulting a friend's father in Naugatuck, police said.

Police said on Sunday officers responded to Golden Hill Street for an assault. Jeffrey Curtis, 29, of Colonial Drive in Rocky Hill, was visiting a friend at her home, police said.

Police say Curtis was intoxicated and began to argue with the friend's father. During the argument the accused fought the victim, police said.

Curtis is charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct. He was given a court date of Sept. 7.
