Angeline G. “Angie” (Vignone) Scoppetto, 91, of Rocky Hill and formerly of Hartford, loving wife of the late Merrill F. “Moe” Scoppetto for 67 years, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 30, 2017.
Born July 9, 1926 in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Concetta (Marciello) Vignone. After her children entered school, she embarked on a new adventure in her life and went to work in the travel business. After several years, she owned and operated her own travel office on Maple Ave., Land, Sea & Air Travel Agency along with her husband Moe and sister-in-law, Joyce. She enjoyed 15 years of making people’s travel dreams come true.
After retirement, she and Moe enjoyed many years traveling themselves, even though she was a very nervous flyer. They also enjoyed their many years together at their timeshare in St. Maarten with Joyce and Joe. She made many friends everywhere they went because of her warm and welcoming nature.
