Rocky Hill Police Issue Update on Bridge Work Traffic

A sight change is on order, police said.

ROCKY HILL, CT - Rocky Hill police have issued an update on the Route 99 bridge work detour:

"The Main Street. road closure has created an increase in traffic to several surrounding roadways. The traffic barricades were moved (Monday) evening to reduce the use of Stepney Circle. This change has significantly reduced the number of vehicles utilizing Stepney Circle and residents should see a reduction in traffic."

Police said traffic speed trailers are currently in place on Gilbert Avenue, and another unit was relocated to Dividend Road Tuesday.
