Rocky Hill Police Raise $1,500 for Special Olympics Torch Run

Police got stuck on a roof for a good cause.

Rocky Hill police raised more than $1,500 at their Cop-on-Top fundraiser for the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Connecticut.

Officers “got stuck” on the rooftop of the West Side Market on Cromwell Avenue Friday morning into the afternoon. They came down at the end of the day when they finished raising money.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run happens every year for Special Olympics. Law enforcement officers run the torch through a number of Connecticut towns during the summer, signifying the start of the Special Olympics.
