Rocky Hill P&Z Commission Votes Against Medical Building Plan

The building would've been 17,000 square feet bigger than the area is zoned for, according to the Hartford Courant.

The Rocky Hill Planning and Zoning Commission voted against allowing a special permit to build a medical building off Cromwell Avenue, the Hartford Courant reports.

The commission voted 3-2 against the special exception last week. The site includes a proposed building that is nearly 27,000 square feet. The area is zoned for a maximum of 10,000 square feet.

Residents of a nearby 55-and-older community argued against the expansion and said it would add to traffic issues.
